Hi everyone, I’m at a loss. I have blindly formatted C: drive on my system. Since, the main drive is formatted; I have no more access to my data (downloads, desktop, etc) on it. I have tons of important data which I need to restore at any cost. Some of the data has to play main role in tomorrow’s client project meeting. I will be grateful if somebody helps me to retrieve my formatted drive data.
Workaround to be followed after formatting C: drive
Don’t perform any operation to the system, since repetitive plugging of drive may result in reducing the chances of recovery. However, formatting the drive doesn’t delete data permanently from it. It only deletes the MFT (Master File Table).
Apart from accidental or unintentional formatting, there are some other terrible situations where in you should format your C: drive. Let’s see some from them:
- When you need to install/ reinstall OS
- If corruption makes your partition data inaccessible, then it is required to format the drive
- Bugs while creating a new partition
- Boot sector damage is also a main cause
You might be wondered after facing any of the above listed instances. If that so then don’t bother because there is a way, which will help you to bring back your data.
